Sheryl and Kerry grew up in San Francisco and started singing together at an early age performing in glee clubs, choirs and musical theater.
Daughters of film and theater performer " Eileen Christy " the summers were spent on the road honing their performance skills . They were also discovering guitars and folk music. They started performing in their teens as a duo playing country rock, folk and standards.
After many years playing rock and blues with the " Blue Tuesday " band in the San Francisco Bay area they are now back hitting the stage as " The Keller Sisters " performing original music which combines storytelling , warmth and humor. Their music has been called American Folk Pop but their love of blues, country , roots and show tunes run through their music and performances . Their on stage banter is filled with a comfortable silliness that has won them a loyal fan base.
The sisters have played the Great American Music Hall, Sweetwater Music Hall , American River Music Festival , San Francisco Free Folk Fest , Tuscon Folk Festival , Mighty Fine Guitars and local listening rooms , clubs , wineries and festivals. They tour and play semi regularly in the poster room at the iconic Fillmore in San Francisco.
A handful of " best song " wins through West Coast Songwriters and runners up in 2 International Songwriting contests have inspired the sisters to keep writing and recording their original music.
Sheryl and Kerry's first two CD's received NPR play and charted on the AMA charts with 4 songs making top 15 song of the year on the Roots Music Chart . Their third CD " Hourglass Dance " was formally released in January 2018 and the most personal music yet . " A collection of songs about love, life and the passage of time " .
